MURAL CONNECTION

VisualARTS program is discipline based, designed with emphasis on connections to the curriculum:

LANGUAGE ARTS, SCIENCE, MATH, SOCIAL STUDIES & VISUAL ARTS

Tunde works with schools to develop a theme for a mural project. The theme may be inspired by a significant historic event in the school district, the community or curriculum concepts. Emphasis will be placed on the important elements in art such as use of color, line, shape, form, space, texture and value. Since this is a group activity, the concept of collaboration and the exchange of ideas will be promoted. Murals can be done on panels or directly on the walls. Students and teachers are actively involved in every stage of the process starting from the conceptualization of the idea through the execution processes. Teacher supervision is required.
